Painting is my silent conversation with the land, a quiet dialogue where colours speak, and light whispers softly.

I am a Jordanian artist deeply connected to the land of Majdal in Jordan, a rural enclave protected by mountains  south  of the Roman city of Jerash. I have lived here for thirty years on an idyllic olive farm surrounded by native forests.

My artistic journey is rooted in generations before me, my Swedish mother’s creativity, my maternal grandfather’s paintings, and my paternal aunt’s generosity in sharing her studio shaped my early artistic path. My father also influenced my vision in a different way, teaching me to pause, observe and truly see. To marvel at clouds drifting, the golden light of a sunset, and the stillness of trees. His deep appreciation for quiet observation and connection to nature remains central to my art and my life.

My artistic stylisation was further refined through my Fine Arts studies in Florence, Italy, where I immersed myself for five years, in classical and contemporary painting techniques heightening my sensitivity to composition, texture, and light, elements that now are part of my work.

My work explores the relationship between nature, memory, and identity. The olive tree, a recurring presence in my art, symbolises resilience, deep-rootedness, femininity and renewal. Through layers of colour and shifting light, I translate the rhythms of the land-the hues of soil, the movement of seasons, mountain silhouettes and the wisdom of trees onto canvas.
